In addition to being a contemporary jeweler, Olivia Shih is an artist and writer based in Oakland, California. Born in the US to immigrant parents and raised in Taiwan, she is an avid observer of human behavior and nuances. She holds a creative writing degree from Columbia University and a jewelry and metal arts degree from the California College of the Arts. Outside of the studio, Olivia is also an adjunct professor at the CCA, the Assistant Editor at Metalsmith magazine, and a freelance writer at Art Jewelry Forum.
